Indebted to life

          INDEBTED TO LIFE

We sat over a long area brooding over our failures and mishaps.
Failures that stood on hairs and alert
Mishaps that blinded our thoughts
Thereby making our decisions not capable of controlling our actions
Thoughts which are not able to manifested physically
We stood in arms,ready for the great battle ahead of us
Complacency and the "I know all" attitude was our problem
And that problem refused us the retentive memory to know that we are still indebted to life
Our life we lived was owned by someone
Someone of equal qualities like us but because of brain power and colour,we made him our ruler
Slaving our productive minds yet still want to bind our soul to his boots.
One great African soul,tied into one nuptial knot.
Our life we owed to some people we deemed as "SUPERIOR"
Those people we saw them to be were just a bunch of greedy and hypocritical ingrates
Who just lack the courtesy to show respect and honor to those people who selflessly fought for their positions.
They preach about civilisation as if they initiated it. As a matter of fact, civilisation was from our very own cradle, the "EGYPTIANS"
We have a higher cultural value yet we allow the lives of those expatriates to determine how our culture should be
Those Superior people we deem them to be are slaves to their younger generation.
A culture which takes away your pride is nothing but the game work of the devil.
This goes a long way to ring bells in our head that we are indebted to life and everyone is a slave to life
I will continue to chastise my own people and would only give up when life calls.

    So true. Our own leaders promote this slavery as well as eliminate those who try to get out of it like Thomas Sankara of Cote d'Ivoire.

The Denial and the regrets

 A thousand thoughts, a million ways to think yet the brain isn't able to process. A person may leave your life with the least of an excuse. Same person my come into your life with you having high hopes they are meant to stay. Momma once told me Kwabena, better walk alone when people pretend to walk with you. Stay the lane when you ought to but be fast to switch lanes when yours is leading to a dead end. I have always cut a long rope for people even when they are not treating me right. Not because, I am daft but it's because I believe in second chances and for that person to correct their wrongs.
